Light of the Knowledge of the Glory of God

For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. 2 Corinthians 4:6
While sipping coffee and browsing Flickr this morning, I happened upon this photo. I've been working with our pastor preparing a worship service centered upon Ephesians 5:8ff. Immediately upon seeing this photo, my mind flashed to Paul's observation in 2 Corinthians. Do you understand why?
Check this while you're at it.

I'm guessing from chapter 4:
For it is the God who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness’, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
But it also reminds me of the much-read 1 Cor. 13, a partial view as through a mirror dimly.

I went as directed and found an excellent post over at God Hungry... I left this comment, but due to a strange message I received, I'm not sure if it was left, so I will leave it here as well, or one like it:

If you know you're loved by the King, sing, sing, sing...If you know you're loved by the King, live for Him, live for Him....If you know you're loved by the King, sing, sing, sing...If you know you're loved by the King, live for Him, live for Him....... (Matt Redman)

How can we not, when we truly know Him, truly taste His goodness, His love, His passion, His desire for intimacy and relationship, live for Him??? The One True and Almighty King, Who holds all glory, riches, honor, in His hands, loves us... That should inspire something...

Charles, your excellent comments over at Wade's blog brought me by. Given your penchant for not allowing anonymous comments I have to use my blogger account, which leads to an old blog. My new blog is at http://charisshalom.fjministries.com. I appreciate your heart and words.

It's a good thing that the light is bright, because I'm not. I just realized that you included the 2 Corinthians passage in the original post. And here I went looking for it and everything!
